Chandra S. Vikram Memorial Lectures
One day conference to be held at the University of Alabama in Huntsville in the Optics Building and Material Science Building on Thursday, April 30, 2009. The conference keynote speaker will be Dr. Sheen Liu, Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering, Pennsylvania State University speaking on "Supercontinuum: new possibilities for manipulation, spectroscopy, and imaging".
Conference Information The conference schedule will consist of student poster presentations in the morning with judges awarding scholarship prizes in Honor of the memory of Dr. Lloyd W. Hillman to the top presenters. A free outdoor grill luncheon will be provided to all attendees. Please join us even if just for lunch. The student scholarship awards will be presented after the luncheon in the Material Sciences lecture hall with the keynote speaker following. The afternoon will be filled with outstanding presentations in optical science and engineering. The registration fee is a voluntary $50 and will help offset conference expenses and increase community outreach efforts.
